Two people are dead following a three-vehicle crash in Hamilton early Sunday morning.

Hamilton Police say the collision happened shortly after midnight, between Mud Street East and Green Mountain Road.

Investigators say a 2014 Ford F-150 pickup truck and a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado were both heading south on Upper Centennial Parkway when the F-150 collided with the Silverado. The F-150 then crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a northbound 2015 Kia Sorento head-on.

The driver and passenger of the Sorento were pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the driver of the F-150 was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Silverado was not hurt.

The roadways have since been reopened, with the cause of the crash still being investigated.

Police are asking any witnesses or anyone with dash cam or surveillance footage from the area to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-546-4753 or email [email protected].
