Woman missing since New Year’s Eve in Hamilton

A search is underway for a woman last seen on New Year’s Eve in Hamilton.
Serene Maria, 34, was spotted shortly before 11 p.m. on Dec. 31 near Upper Paradise Road and Mohawk Road. The area is home to a couple of shopping plazas and a neighbourhood of detached homes in Westcliffe East. It sits just south of Chedoke Park toward the west side of town.
Hamilton Police have described Maria as a brown woman with a dark complexion. She has long black hair, stands five-foot-five, and weighs about 150 pounds. She is known to ride a red and black electric scooter.
