Woman dies in hospital after being struck by pickup truck in Hamilton

A woman has died after being struck by a vehicle in Hamilton on Saturday evening.

Hamilton police say the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on Wilson Street West near McClure Road in Ancaster.

A 42-year-old pedestrian was hit by a pickup truck and was taken to a hospital by paramedics, where she was pronounced dead.

Wilson Street West was shut down for several hours for investigations and the roadways have since reopened to motorists.
