Winter weather advisory in effect for Hamilton with heavy and blowing snow in the forecast

A winter weather travel advisory is in effect for Hamilton today with bursts of heavy snow causing poor visibility at times.

Environment Canada says the travel advisory will be in effect until tonight, with lake effect conditions and strong winds resulting in “significantly reduced visibility” from heavy and blowing snow.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for taillights ahead and be prepared to stop.
