Weather advisory issued for Hamilton warns of 70 to 80 km/h winds

A special weather statement has been issued for Hamilton on Tuesday (April 19) as strong winds are expected to pass through the area.
According to Environment Canada, northwesterly winds gusting upwards of 70 to 80 km/h are expected to develop early Tuesday afternoon.
The strong winds are expected to continue through the day before weakening in the evening.
The weather agency warns that local power outages are a possibility and the winds may be capable of tossing loose objects about or could cause tree branches to break.
