Hamilton Police have released images of a suspect in a shooting in downtown Hamilton from last July.
An arrest warrant has also been issued for Hamilton resident Habiton Solomon, 21, for five gun-related charges, including discharge firearm with intent and reckless discharge of firearm.
The charges stem from an incident July 22 near King St. W and Caroline St. N when police responded to a disturbance call just before midnight after hearing reports of “multiple people fighting” in a parking lot. Upon arrival police discovered evidence of a shooting.
There were no reported injuries from the incident.
Police are continuing to investigate this matter and are seeking the public’s assistance for the known whereabouts of Solomon, who should be considered armed and dangerous. If located, please do not approach and contact police immediately.
Anyone with information to help with the investigation are asked to contact Detective Constable Dan Harris of the Shooting Response Team at (905) 546-3884.
