Wanted fugitive could be in the Hamilton area

A warrant has been issued for a man known to frequent the Hamilton area.

Police are looking for a 37-year-old male fugitive, Brian Joseph Burt, Hamilton Police said in a press release today (Feb. 9).

As a result of a criminal investigation a warrant has been issued for Burt’s arrest, police said.

Burt currently faces assault, assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000 and fail to comply with release order charges.

He is known to frequent the Hamilton area, but also has ties to the Haldimand Norfolk area.

If you see him, call 911, do not approach him, police say.
