A wanted man who allegedly breached his day parole was caught in Hamilton.

The OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad issued an alert for a federal offender “unlawfully at large” last week.

Colin Palmer, 46, was convicted of two counts of possession of a controlled substance for trafficking and sentenced to two years and ten months.

He was recently granted day parole, but the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad said he did not check back in on April 6.

Palmer was located and arrested by the Hamilton Police Service, OPP said in a press release on April 14.

The R.O.P.E. Squad thanked the public and the media for their assistance in this investigation.
