A classic car show featuring vehicles of all kinds, including vintage police cars, is coming to Hamilton Sunday.

Cops ‘N Rodders Car Show is being hosted by Hamilton Police Service members with all proceeds going to Special Olympics Ontario.

People are invited to bring their classic or new generation muscle car, van, truck, motorcycle, race car or even unfinished passion project to share with people who have the same passion.

Hundreds of vehicles are expected to be at the show, including plenty of vintage police cars.

The OPP Highway Safety Division based out of Burlington will be showing off a classic 1989 Chevrolet Caprice patrol car which has been on loan to them from the OPP Museum in Orillia.

The vintage cop car has even been cruising the streets of Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville this week to drum up interest in the show.

In addition to the vehicles, there will also be live music, plenty of food options, and a ‘Beat The Heap’ sideshow where people can take out their frustrations on a pair of old cars.

There is no pre-registration for the show and if you want to show off your vehicle, it will cost $20 at the door.

The event runs Saturday, Aug. 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bayfront Park in Hamilton. For information visit here.
