VIDEO: Three wanted after shooting in Hamilton

Hamilton Police have released security footage of three men fleeing the scene of a shooting over the long weekend.

Residents of a home near Sherman Avenue South and Main Street East returned home on Monday afternoon (May 20) and found bullet shell casings in their yard.

This discovery confirmed reports of gunfire in the area on May 18. Police concluded shots had been fired around midnight on May 17. No one has been reported injured as a result of the gunfire.

Investigators requested residents in the area to review their security cameras. On May 22, police released footage of three men rounding a corner to flee the area at the time of the shooting.

The video is a brief clip of the men running in front of a home on the corner. It then loops after about 20 seconds.

The first suspect was wearing a black hoodie, black pants and black shoes. The second wore a dark hoodie, black pants and black shoes. Finally the third wore a red hoodie, white pants and white shoes. All three were last seen running southbound on Blake Street from Maplewood Avenue.

Police have increased patrols in the area in an effort to enhance community safety.
