UPDATE: Apartment building ablaze in Hamilton

A large apartment building is on fire in Hamilton.
The apartment building at 125 Wellington St. in Landsdale. Video shared on social media appears to show an apartment seemingly completely engulfed in flame with the window blown out.

The fire is about halfway up the building on what looks like the eighth floor. Heavy black smoke pours from the apartment and travels up several more floors. A short time later another angle was shared showing the Hamilton Police arrival to the scene from the ground.

Updated with information from the Hamilton Fire Department.
Hamilton Fire Department Assisstant Deputy Chief Steve Welton confirmed to Insuaga that the fire began on the eighth floor around 11:30 a.m. Fire crews were able to contain the fire before it spread to neighbouring units.
“The cause of the fire is unknown at this time,” he wrote via email, “Damages to the apartment [are] reported to be extensive.” The Fire Department does not yet have its usual estimate of damage costs.
Welton was able to confirm that no one was hurt.
Hamilton Police not has yet responded to requests for comment.
