Hamilton Police confirmed early Thursday morning (Dec. 17) that the man who was stabbed on the East Mountain on Sunday (Dec. 13) has died as a result of his injuries.
Michael White, a 42-year-old Hamilton father and grandfather, was stabbed by unknown suspects early Sunday morning in the area of East 27th and Concession Streets.
Police were called to the scene around 6 a.m. and White was rushed to the hospital in life-threatening condition where he succumbed to his injuries days later.
White is the city’s 17th homicide victim of 2020.
“Michael has been a life-long resident of Hamilton. He is deeply missed by his family and friends. His family are requesting privacy at this time as they grieve the loss of their son, father and grandfather,” police said in a press release.
