Vehicle clocked going over double the speed limit in Hamilton

Police say a vehicle was clocked travelling over double the speed limit in Hamilton.
The vehicle was travelling a “staggering 158 km/h in a 60 km/h zone” around 12:30 p.m. Monday (Feb. 12) on Second Road East in Stoney Creek, Hamilton Police said in a post on X.
“This reckless behaviour puts everyone at risk, which is why we took swift action,” Hamilton Police said. “This serves as a stark reminder that dangerous driving will not be tolerated in our community.”
Police say a G2 driver faces charges.
The driver’s license was seized, the driver suspended for 30 days and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days, police said.
