Two wanted in attempt to carjack G-Wagon from Hamilton home

Two unidentified men are wanted after an attempt to carjack a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon from an Ancaster home.

The pair broke into a home on Gloverleaf Drive around 4 this morning. They confronted the homeowner and demanded the keys to their G-Wagon.

These luxury SUVs cost between $183,500 to $460,500 making them a common target for carjackers. Back in August, another was stolen from a home on Great Falls Boulevard up in Waterdown. Additionally, a carjacker crashed a stolen G-Wagen while trying to evade police in Mississauga last fall.

Police describe the men as slim, between five-foot-eight and five-foot-eleven, wearing dark clothing and brandishing a handgun.

The victim was not physically hurt.
