Triple shooting sends victims to hospital in Hamilton

A triple shooting in Hamilton early this morning sent multiple people to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

Hamilton Police responded to a shooting at the corner of Gage Avenue North and Cannon Street East around 12:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers found three victims with gunshot wounds. The victims were then transported to Hamilton General Hospital, where they remain in stable condition.

Officials have not released details about the victims, including their names, ages, and places of residence.

It is unknown whether the victims and the suspect(s) were known to each other.

Authorities say this incident marks the 24th shooting in Hamilton since January 2024.

Police are actively seeking witnesses and urge anyone with information to come forward. Investigators also request that residents and businesses in the neighbourhood check their security systems for any potential video evidence that may help in the investigation.
