As summer reaches its peak, Hamilton is gearing up for the 48th Annual Dundas Cactus Festival, set to take place this weekend.
The three day festival will be held at 130 King St W., between Aug. 18-20.
Held every 3rd weekend in August, the Dundas Cactus Festival has earned its reputation as one of the “Top 100 Festivals” by Festivals & Events Ontario.
“For many, it’s a cherished ‘homecoming’ occasion, a chance for both current residents and former locals to reunite and celebrate their ties to the community,” the event’s website stated.
The festival’s name, “Cactus,” pays homage to the local Ben Veldhuis Cactus Greenhouses, which garnered international recognition for their cacti production.
This time around, festival-goers can revel across four distinct entertainment stages and event zones.
With over 100 street vendors, there will be no shortage of food, unique finds, and one-of-a-kind creations to explore, according to event organizers.
Admission is free and open to all age groups.
