Thousands of homes and businesses are without power in Hamilton

Two outages, one in Stoney Creek and the other in the south-west of lower Hamilton, have left more than 2,000 hydro customers without power Friday (July 10) morning.

Alectra Utilities said the Stoney Creek outage is affecting 221 customers in the area of Galbraith Drive to Brandow Ct from Charles Street to Lake Ave Drive.
The estimated time for power restoration is 11:00 a.m.
Meanwhile, crews are on the scene of a widespread power outage affecting 1,883 customers in the area of King Street W to Aberdeen Ave from Haddon Ave S to Queen St S.
The estimated time for power restoration is 2:00 p.m., according to Alectra Utilities.
