Noon Hour Concert: Woodwind Ensemble

Catch the New Vintage Winds this week in the Central Library’s Hamilton Room. This local woodwind quintet, formed during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, brings together classically trained musicians who perform with various ensembles across the GTA and Niagara regions, including the Ancaster and Oakville symphonies and the Brock University Wind Ensemble.

Forge FC vs Pacific FC

Wellness at Whitehern – A Historic Mental Health Tour

Guests will explore the McQuestens’ journey through mental illness with a focus on Margaret Edna, the youngest daughter, during a special tour at Whitehern. Using archival resources, this tour will delve into the family’s mental health experiences, coping strategies and the support they received. Some topics discussed include caregiver fatigue, societal stigma and how socio-economic status impacted access to resources in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
