Police are trying to identify a man they’ve described as “suspicious” after he allegedly followed a couple around a Hamilton park.

The man was seen hanging out in the Red Hill Summit East Park at 50 Bellagio Park on March 31, according to Hamilton Police. Around 7 p.m. police say he “took an interest” in a young man and a woman walking through the park and allegedly followed them home.

At some point, police say, the man reached out and tried to grab the woman’s hand. The pair took off running while the man turned and walked away. He was last seen walking near Charleswood Crescent and Bellagio Avenue.

Police describe the man as six-foot-two, thin and tanned. He wore a grey sweater with the hood up, black pants, a full ski mask and sunglasses. He appeared to have a basketball tucked under his sweater.

Anyone with information can call police at 905-546-3886. or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
