Update: ‘Sudden death’ probe closes section of Sherman Access in Hamilton

Update: The west leg of the Sherman Access has opened in both directions, police announced after 3 p.m. 

Part of a major Hamilton road will be closed as police said they are investigating “a sudden death and the related circumstances.”

During the investigation, the Sherman Access westbound in both directions will be closed, police said today (Oct. 25).

“We kindly request that you use alternate routes for your travels,” they announced on social media. “We will provide further updates once the investigation is concluded.”

Hamilton police didn’t provide further details, such as how the individual died and the circumstances surrounding the death.
