Hamilton’s McMaster University has once again cracked the top 200 among the top global universities for 2023.
The recently released QS World University Rankings 2023 saw McMaster come in at 152 among close to 1,500 institutions from across the globe, based on eight key ranking factors.
Some of the factors include academic reputation, graduate employability, faculty-to-student ratio, and international student and faculty ratios, among others.
Mac’s 152 ranking represents a slight fall down the list from previous years. In 2022, the school ranked 140. Mac’s highest QS ranking was back in 2015 when it came in at 113.
In terms of graduate employability, McMaster tied for the 81st spot with the University of Florida.
The Top 3 schools in the list include Standford University (U.S.), University of Cambridge (U.K.) and, for the 11th year in a row, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, or MIT (U.S.).
Several Canadian universities cracked the top 100, including Montreal’s McGill at 31, the University of Toronto at 34, and UBC at 47.
The University of Alberta has a strong showing this year with a 110 rank, followed by Université de Montreal at 116.
