UPDATE: Stoney Creek power outage expected to be brief

Gusting, swirling winds in Hamilton caused a power outage in Stoney Creek early Thursday evening (Dec. 16).
Alectra Utilities said about 270 homes and businesses are affected in the area of Dewitt Road and Barton Street, which is in the vicinity of Orchard Park Secondary School. The utility’s expected time of resumption (ETR) is 7 p.m.

Update: The outage was declared resolved shortly after 6 p.m.
