The unidentified man who broke into a Staples location in Hamilton remains at large nearly three weeks later.
The burglar broke into the Staples at 970 Upper Wentworth St. sometime between 9 p.m. and midnight on Jan. 10, according to Hamilton Police. He made of with a substantial amount of electronics which has led investigators to believe he used a getaway car.
However, both the suspect and the stolen goods remain unaccounted for. Security footage of the burglar is of poor quality, police say. As a result, they are asking any nearby home or business owners to review their security footage for a better look at the suspect.
Investigators describe the man as having an average build, wearing a black jacket, tan or khaki pants, dark shoes with white accents, and a bandana as a disguise.
The Hamilton Break, Enter, Auto Theft, and Robbery (BEAR) Unit is investigating and can be reached at 905-546-8936 or 905-546-2991. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
“Hamilton Police encourages the public to come forward with any information they may have, no matter how small, to assist in solving this crime,” police said.
