Shots fired in central Hamilton neighbourhood

Police are on the scene after shots were fired in central Hamilton in the early evening on Monday (May 13).

Hamilton Police are investigating after a shooting that took place in the area of Wilson Street and Birch Avenue and Sherman Avenue North and Cannon Street East just before 6 p.m.

Currently, no injuries have been reported.

Police remain on the scene and traffic delays in the area are expected.

Cannon Street East remains closed at Sherman Avenue North.
