UPDATE: Shooting in downtown nightclub in Hamilton

Two men were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds after an overnight shooting at a downtown Hamilton nightclub.
Hamilton Police say the shooting took place early Sunday morning at about 1:45 a.m. in the area of King William Street and John Street North.
Police aren’t revealing many details, including the name of the nightclub, but they believe the shooting was a targeted incident.
Investigators say two 24-year-old men with gunshot wounds were transported to hospital. One victim is in stable condition, while the injuries to the other man are critical, police say.
At this time, there is no information on the shooter or shooters, or any vehicles that may have been involved.
Police say there were many witnesses at the scene and investigators are encouraging those individuals to come forward.
Hamilton Police are asking residents and businesses in the area to review their security surveillance cameras between 1 and 2 a.m. for any suspicious activity.
Detectives also want to speak with anyone who was driving in the area at the time of the incident and who may have dash camera footage.
A heavy police presence is expected to remain in the area as investigators canvas for video and information.
