Several Hamilton residents celebrating $1 million lotto win

A group of 14 Southwestern Ontario residents from Hamilton and surrounding municipalities are celebrating a huge $1 million lotto win.
A group of 14 Southwestern Ontario residents from Hamilton and surrounding municipalities are celebrating a huge $1 million lotto win.
OLG says the group won the Guaranteed $1 Million Prize in the Sept. 7, 2019, Lotoo 6/49 draw. The group also won $16 on other Lotto 6/49 and Encore selections on the same ticket, bringing its total winnings to $1,000,016.
The group members are:

- Annette Wight of Burford
- Donna Hill of Hamilton
- Heather Angiolillo of Hamilton
- Johnathan Porter of Paris
- Karen Gallant of Stoney Creek
- Kevin Magrin of Dunnville
- Kyle Sensabaugh of Welland
- Michael Grace of Brantford
- Michael Roes of Hannon
- Pauline Fawcett of Beamsville
- Richard Barrett of Hamilton
- Richard Van Kleef of Hamilton
- Susanna Wilcox of Stoney Creek
The group is made up of colleagues who work together for a school bus line. OLG says they play Lotto 6/49, Lotto Max and Lottario together.
Porter checked their ticket at the store following the draw.
“I was stunned! The cashier and I were both in tears,” she told OLG.
Each group member has big plans for their share of the windfall including purchasing a sports car, undertaking home renovations and saving for retirement.
The winning ticket was purchased at Suds & Duds Nebo Variety on Rymal Road in Hamilton.
