Series of residential break-ins result in charges for Hamilton man

A 54-year-old Hamilton man is facing several charges in connection with an investigation into a series of break-ins in the city’s east end earlier this month.

Hamilton Police say the break-ins occurred between October 11, 2024, and October 20.

Joseph Anthony Allen was arrested on Tuesday (Oct. 22) and has been charged with:

  • Three counts of Possession of Burglary Tools
  • Four counts of Break and Enter
  • Two counts of Possession Under $5000
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon

Allen’s bail was opposed, and he remains in custody.
