Update: Power has been restored

Update: Power was restored in Hamilton around 4: 23 p.m. this evening (Sept. 8).

An outage has caused power disruption in 27 homes and businesses in Hamilton today.

Alectra Uilties put out a tweet around 3:15 p.m., stating that areas in  Melrose Ave. N. to Birch Ave. and Barton St E to Charlton Ave

have been affected by the outage.

As the cause of this outage is being investigated, authorities hope to restore power by 7 p.m. tonight.
