Power outage hits over 1,200 homes and businesses in Hamilton

A Sunday morning outage is affecting over a thousand hydro customers in Hamilton.

The outage, reported by Alectra around 11 a.m., has left approximately 1,292 homes and businesses without power in the area of King St W and Strathcona Ave S.

The cause of the outage has not been confirmed.

A crew has been dispatched to restore power, but there’s currently no estimated time for when it will return.

UPDATE: All power is expected to return between 4 and 6 p.m.
