Power now restored to east Hamilton

All power has now been restored in east Hamilton after a power outage caused a limited power failure in an area between Upper Wentworth and Upper Wellington and between Bobolink Road and Limeridge Rd. E.

Alectra Utilities crews were dispatched to make repairs about 1 p.m. with the problem causing power outages in 104 homes. The original estimate for the repairs to be complete was 4:30 p.m. but workers were able to restore power within an hour or so.

The outage was attributed to an underground distribution problem.
