Police say they've identified the person responsible after a cellphone was found recording inside the female washroom of an east-end Tim Hortons.

Hamilton Police say they have arrested the person suspected of placing a cellphone that was found recording inside the female washroom of an east-end Tim Hortons.

The investigation began last Thursday after the phone was found inside a washroom stall at the café at 30 Queenston Rd.

Daniel St. Amour, 27, of Hamilton, will appear in court Tuesday morning. He faces additional charges by Hamilton Police for an unrelated incident and is wanted by Halton Regional Police for failing to appear in court.

St. Amour is not an employee of the restaurant.

Police said earlier Monday that the cellphone has been seized as evidence in the voyeurism investigation.
