Overnight shooting probe launched following discovery of shell casing in Hamilton

A resident discovered a shell casing on the road Friday morning, prompting police to investigate an overnight shooting in Hamilton.

The shooting happened at about 3:30 a.m. in the area of Kings Forest Drive and Nova Drive,  Hamilton police said in a news release tonight (Nov. 3).

A video showed a grey sedan and white sedan “driving aggressively” in the area when several loud bangs were heard, police said.

They said the grey sedan continued southbound on Kings Forest Drive before exiting at Nova Drive.  Both vehicles then fled the scene northbound on Kings Forest Drive.

Police are asking residents in the area to check their security video. Those with information on the incident are asked to contact 905-546-4067.
