One dead, two injured in a multi-car highway collision in Hamilton

A teenage boy was killed and two other people were rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a multi-car collision on a Hamilton highway Friday afternoon.

Hamilton Police closed the eastbound Lincoln Alexander Parkway from Upper Gage Avenue and the westbound lanes from Dartnell Road shortly before 3 p.m.

Southbound Red Hill Valley Parkway was closed from the QEW and was later opened Friday night.

Police confirmed the death of the boy to INthehammer.com. Two other people, described by police only as males, were rushed to a nearby hospital.

Police are looking for additional vehicles they believe were involved in the collision.

Hamilton Police are asking for dashcam footage from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the crash. Call police at 905-546-3886.
