One dead, one injured after car rolled on QEW in Hamilton

An accident on the QEW at Fruitland Road killed one man, seriously injured another and shut down all the Toronto-bound lanes for hours late last night (January 1).
Just before 11 pm, the Burlington OPP reported that a speeding driver lost control of his car, resulting in the car flipping over.
Both the driver and passenger were thrown from the car and one died immediately. The other is in the hospital in serious condition. All Toronto-bound lanes were shut down at Fifty Road for several hours.
The OPP said no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
