Multiple new COVID-19 cases reported at Hamilton grocery stores

Loblaw is reporting today (January 15) that multiple employees at its store locations in Hamilton have tested positive for COVID-19.
An employee at the Fortinos at 102 Highway #8 in Stoney Creek tested positive. The employee last worked on January 13.
Multiple employees at the Fortinos at 21 Upper Centennial Pkwy South in Stoney Creek tested positive, and their last day of work was unspecified.
Lastly, two employees at Franco’s NOFRILLS located at 640 Queenston Road have tested positive. They last worked on January 10.
“Given the important role we play in our communities, we are prepared for all possible situations, including a positive test for COVID-19 in our stores,” the company says.
“In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores.”
