A man is facing multiple charges after police seized drugs, cash and a weapon during a traffic stop last Wednesday in Hamilton.
Hamilton Police say officers stopped a motorcycle with an unauthorized licence plate near Ottawa Street North and Centre Mall.
A 35-year-old man was detained, and a search reportedly led to the discovery of a switchblade knife, along with fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone and a small amount of cash.
James Tilley of Hamilton was arrested and faces several charges, including possession of a prohibited weapon, possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone) and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
He was transported to Central Custody and police say his release was denied.
Investigators say the following items were seized: 90 grams of fentanyl, 29 grams of cocaine, 27 grams of methamphetamine, 9 oxycodone pills and $182.35 in cash.
Hamilton Police say they continue to proactively target drug and weapons offences across the city.
