Police are searching for a man following an armed robbery at a convenience store on Hamilton’s East Mountain last Wednesday.
Officers responded to a store on Fennell Avenue East near Upper Ottawa Street shortly before 1 a.m.
Investigators say a man entered the store, concealed a firearm and demanded cash from an employee before fleeing the scene. Police have not indicated whether any money was taken or the amount.
The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 20 to 22 years old, about six feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a green shirt, black pants, red and black shoes, and carrying a green sling bag. Police say he also has a tattoo on his right forearm.
Hamilton Police are asking anyone who was in the area between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. to review home surveillance or dashcam footage for suspicious activity or a person matching the suspect’s description.
