Body found shot in 'suspicious vehicle' under homicide investigation in Brampton

A pedestrian has died in hospital after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing the street yesterday in Hamilton.

Hamilton Police responded to a crash on Mountain Brow Boulevard, approximately 200 metres east of Limeridge Road, at 2:40 p.m.

A 67-year-old man was crossing Mountain Brow Boulevard when he was struck by a Harley Davidson motorcycle, police say.

According to witnesses, the motorcyclist travelled eastbound behind another vehicle and turned around a bend from Limeridge Road. At the same time, the pedestrian reportedly ran across from the north side to the south side, cutting between the motor vehicle and the motorcycle.

The man was rushed to a hospital, where he later died due to his injuries, police say.

Investigators have confirmed that speed was not a factor.

Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the collision and anyone with information is asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Office at 905-546-4753.
