Loaded gun discovered after vehicle crash in Hamilton

Hamilton police discovered a loaded firearm after a vehicle crashed into a guardrail on Wednesday (Oct. 9) in Hamilton.
Police responded to a single-vehicle collision near Kenilworth Access.
“The male claimed his car had mechanical issues,” said Hamilton police, who administered a roadside breath test which they allege he failed.
Police arrested the man and upon their search found he had a loaded firearm.
A 35-year-old male from Hamilton was arrested for impaired operation of a vehicle and possession of a restricted loaded firearm.
