Investigation underway after a Hamilton man found dead, public assistance sought

Collision investigation prompts road closures in Oshawa

A 33-year-old man was found dead in a Hamilton neighbourhood early this morning (Sept 27).

Hamilton Police say they received reports of a man bleeding and unconscious in the area of MacNab St. near Jackson St.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and administered first aid to the victim after which he was transported to a local hospital in a critical condition.

Despite life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The police’s homicide unit is now investigating the death and as part of their investigative efforts, the scene of the incident is being held and processed for evidence.

Circumstances surrounding the incident and the exact cause of death remain unknown.

Residents or businesses in the area are asked to review footage of their surveillance cameras between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m.

Authorities are urging witnesses who may have information related to the incident to contact police immediately at 905-546-4123.
