Intersection on Hamilton Mountain closed after motorcyclist injured

A major intersection was closed on Hamilton Mountain on Monday night after a collision that reportedly left a motorcyclist seriously injured.
The intersection at Mohawk Road East and Upper Wellington Street was closed in all directions following the collision. The motorcyclist has been taken to the hospital.

Hamilton Street Railway’s No. 26 and No. 41 bus routes are taking detours due to the collision investigation. The detour means stops near or at the intersection are temporarily out of service. Riders intending to make a transfer connection at Upper Wellington can now do at South Bend Road East. An HSR representative is on-site to offer assistance.
