House fire sends 2 people to hospital in Hamilton

A multi-alarm house fire has sent two people to hospital in Hamilton.

The fire broke out overnight at 8 Dalkeith Ave., Hamilton Fire Department said on X

Crews rescued two people from the fire and they were transported to hospital. Reports indicate one male resident had no vital signs and the other male was unconscious.

The fire was under control and crews were overhauling at the time of the post on X, around 2:20 a.m. this morning (March 19).

The Office of The Fire Marshal has been notified, Hamilton Fire said.

There was no word yet on the cause of the fire.
