Hopes for a white Christmas in Hamilton clouded by balmy forecast

While rain is the far more likely type of precipitation we might see in Hamilton on Christmas Day – though the chance of that is only about 30 per cent – we might get a white New Years, with snow expected next Thursday into Saturday.

But even that possibility is slim, with January 1 probably being just another cloudy day, with even a chance of sunshine to welcome 2024.

Temperatures on Christmas Day should be a positively balmy seven degrees, while the forecast for New Year’s Day is a more seasonal one degree Celsius.

Winter enthusiasts may be a trifle disappointed by this outlook but at least those travelling over the holidays should have an easier time of it, though they should drive with caution December 28-30.
