Head-on collision in Hamilton sends one man to hospital with life-altering injuries

A head-on collision in Ancaster Tuesday has left a Toronto man in hospital with potentially life-altering injuries.

Hamilton Police responded to the accident just after 4:30 p.m. near Trinity Rd. S. and Butter Rd. W. in Ancaster. Police say a white Hyundai Elantra sedan and a grey GMC Yukon Suburban collided head-on. The 36-year-old driver of the Hyundai was initially transported to hospital in life-threatening condition but is now in serious but stable condition with injuries considered to be life-altering.

The driver of the GMC, a 34-year-old man from Ohsweken, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation, and detectives are looking for information from anyone who witnessed the incident or has details about the events leading to the accident.
