Hamilton Tiger-Cats sign former NFL receiver Brown

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Wednesday (Feb. 9) the football club has signed American receiver Tony Brown.
Brown, 24, most recently spent time with the National Football League’s Washington Football Team (2020-21) and on the practice squad with the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns in 2020.

The six-foot-one, 195-pound native of La Mirada, California played 22 games over two seasons at the University of Colorado (2018-19) registering 83 receptions for 980 yards and five touchdown receptions. Brown began his collegiate career at Texas Tech University, where he started as a true freshman and played 24 games over two seasons (2015-16) before transferring to Colorado.
