Hamilton teen hospitalized after being struck by pick-up truck in East End: Police

A Hamilton teen is in hospital after being struck by a truck in the city’s east end on Sunday night (April 24).
According to Hamilton Police, the 15-year-old boy was struck by a 2006 Dodge Ram while crossing Queenston Road at Nash at around 11 p.m.
The boy was taken to McMaster Children’s Hospital in critical condition, where he remains on Monday.
The 79-year-old driver of the pick-up truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, which has been taken over by the police service’s Collision Reconstruction Unit.
Investigators said they have ruled out speed and impairment as contributing factors to the crash.
