Hamilton ranked one of top 10 best places for remote workers in North America

If you want to work remotely in North America, Hamilton is one of the best cities to be in.
According to recent research from Betway Insider, Hamilton sits at number four on the list of the top 10 best cities for travelling workers, just behind Quebec City, Edmonton and Calgary.
The city is ranked ahead of Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, New York City, Miami and Los Angeles.
On its website, Betway Insider says it ranked 50 of the most popular cities in North America on how good they are for a workcation, factoring in free Wi-Fi spots, internet speeds, good weather, and work-friendly cafes and bars.
“…Not only is working your job from another city feasible, but it’s quickly becoming one of the most popular ways for people to travel and experience new places while still working the job they love. But with so many options out there, where is a budding digital nomad to start?” the website reads.
According to the website, Hamilton boasts an average monthly rental rate of $2,700, 671 spots with free Wi-Fi, a median Wi-Fi speed of 98.09 and 71 bars and cafes with internet access. The site also ranked the city in terms of average high temperature (10 degrees Celsius) and distance to the nearest national park (about 77 kilometres). The city boasts a total score of 2,865.
As far as other cities on the list go, Betway says Toronto offers the widest selection of cafes and bars to work in (471), high internet speeds and proximity to a national park.
New York City offers a whopping 1,186 bars and cafes with internet access.
Montreal offers reasonable rent and 319 bars and cafes that are work-friendly.
Cities not considered work-friendly are Kitchener (just 31 cafes and bars for working), Austin, TX, Minneapolis, Kansas City and Virginia Beach.
