Hamilton Police Seek Suspects in Assault on Cab Driver

Hamilton police are searching for two suspects following an assault on a cab driver last week.

Last Thursday (Sept. 26), shortly before 2:20 a.m., Hamilton Police were called to the area of Main Street East and Catharine Street South to reports of an assault.

Upon arrival, police located a male in his late forties suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

The victim, a Hamilton Cab driver, claims to have picked up a man and a woman in the area of Absinthe Bar, located on King William Street.

A disagreement about the fare ensued at which time the driver pulled over in the area of Main Street East and Catharine Street South, police say.

The suspects then proceeded to assault the driver before fleeing.

The man is described as being 6-ft. tall, clean-shaven and approximately 26 to 28 years old with a skinny build and short hair with yellow colouring. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing blue jeans and a black shirt.

The woman is described as being in her early 30s, standing at 6-ft tall, and having a skinny build, long blonde hair and wearing blue jeans and a grey long-sleeve shirt at the time of the assault.
