Hamilton Police seek suspect in attempted convenience store robbery

Hamilton Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they say was involved in an attempted robbery of a convenience store in East Hamilton earlier this month.
Hamilton Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they say was involved in an attempted robbery of a convenience store in East Hamilton earlier this month.
Police say on July 13, shortly before 5:30 a.m., police were dispatched to Payless Convenience Store located at 146 Kenilworth Ave. North to reports of an attempted robbery.
Police say the suspect told the clerk he had a gun and demanded money from the cash register.
The suspect was unsuccessful with the attempt and was last seen travelling westbound down Geraldine Copps Parkette trail riding a black e-bike. No gun was seen.
The suspect is described as:
- White male, medium build, 5’5”to 5’9”
- 20 to 25 years-old
- Wearing a black shiny helmet, blue surgical mask
- Navy blue hoodie with the word ‘Camaro’ written on the front, black pants and black shoes
