Hamilton Police investigating sexual assault in east Hamilton

Hamilton Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault in east Hamilton and are asking residents and business owners in the area to review any surveillance footage that can help solve the case.
On Monday, February 26, 2024, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to reports of a sexual assault near Mountain Brow Boulevard and Mohawk Road East on Monday, February 26 at approximately 9 p.m.
The suspect is described as a white-skinned man, approximately 30-40 years old. He was about six feet tall with reddish blonde hair, broad shoulders and an unshaven stubble. He was wearing a black jacket with the hood up, blue or black pants, black and white shoes and black leather gloves.
Police re asking residents to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity between 8 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Any information that could assist with this investigation, should be forwarded to Detective Ian Chan of the Sex Crimes Unit at (905) 546-8958 or the Sex Crimes Unit non-emergency line at (905) 540-5553.
